CPW Home Energy Assessment: A Measure of Efficiency
To sign up for a CPW audit - click here - and use the code GRNPWR. We will then be contacting you to schedule your evaluation.
The first step toward a more comfortable and efficient home is to schedule a home energy assessment with Revolution Green Power, youra Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified Energy Auditors. At the end of this thorough assessment, you’ll have a detailed report about your home’s energy efficiency that will help you choose the upgrades that make the most sense for your needs and budget.
This assessment is valued at $400, but costs you just $95 thanks to a special rebate from Seattle City Light. After you fill out the CPW application, and use the code GRNPWR, we’ll be in contact with you so we can schedule your home energy assessment. If you’re a Seattle City Light customer who lives outside the CPW area (Shoreline and Lake Forest Park), you can still apply for a special coupon code that reduces the cost of the assessment to $95.
When the Energy Auditor visits your home, they can diagnose problems such as drafty windows and doors, poor insulation, and inefficient appliances. The auditor uses specialized equipment, such as infrared cameras, to pinpoint insulation gaps in your walls, ceilings, and floors, and they can depressurize your whole house to uncover the sources of drafts. This in-depth assessment typically lasts 4 hours and results in a customized report of your home’s energy performance.
In the detailed assessment report, you will receive an energy performance score for your home that summarizes your energy use. You can then use the information in the report to determine which upgrades you want to make. If you choose to upgrade your home through the CPW program and improve your home’s energy efficiency by at least 15%, there are a variety of program rebates and incentives available to lower the cost of your project.
